Advanced Batteries can make solar and wind energy fully reliable and dispatchable, and provide valuable utility ancillary services like frequency regulation and spinning reserve. 

Why aren't batteries doing all this today?  Cost... but that is about to change.

The cost of batteries on a MWh/Cycle basis is dropping quickly, driven by a suite of new and evolving technologies including redox flow battery systems, metal-air batteries, sodium batteries, all liquid batteries and more. 

Silent Energy was my original consulting company on energy storage, however.  However, today I am developing a new business unit specifically on energy storage for RES Americas, Inc..  RES is a leading wind energy company, having developed and/or constructed over 15% of all the wind energy in North America.
